Ken Lewis

Dr Ken Lewis grew up in Sallis, Mississippi, and confessed Jesus at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in August 1980. After earning a B.S. Degree in Computer Science at Mississippi State University, he began a career in software development and project management before pursuing his call to vocational ministry.

Pastor Ken began his ministry training by attending Huntsville Bible College while fulfilling the demands of his software profession. He received the Bachelor of Theology degree in May 2005. In 2008, Pastor Ken and family relocated to the Cordova area where he enrolled in Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and received a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministries in May 2011. He subsequently enrolled in the Ph.D. program, which he completed in December 2014.

Catherine Detherow

Catherine was born in New York, and grew up in Wisconsin. She attended the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, graduating in 1982. Catherine and her husband Gary joined Briarwood in 2002. Catherine enjoys spending time with family and friends, writing, reading, and challenging Gary in word games.
